What is Brewing with Blackstone Valley Brewing Supplies

Brewing Classes and Events

Have you ever thought about making the drinks you love? We can show you how easy it is to make fantastic fermentables, including beer, wine, cider and mead. We keep classes small so everyone can ask questions, talk in detail about select topics and sample the ingredients.

Registration is required and cost will vary.

We also host Popup Brew demos. These Saturday demos are open to everyone and hosted by guest brewers. These are free events and no reservations are required. Saturday demos are a great way to see different methods of all-grain brewing and ask questions of fellow homebrewers.

To register for a class or see when our next demo day will be, check out our calendar!

Bottle Swap

Come join us the last Friday of every month, if you are shy you will go dry! Bottle swaps are a great way to get feedback from other brewers. We also welcome new brewers to ask questions and learn about different methods that might be different from their own.

Bring a bottle of whatever you are brewing it doesn’t matter if it is beer, cider, mead or wine. Kicked a keg or batch hasn’t finished fermenting? No problem, all are still welcome!

This is a free event and no registration is required.

The next bottle swap will be happening soon!

On Tap at BVBS

Interested in the flavor difference with certain malts, hops, or yeast? We often run test beers to make sure the kits you are getting, are the best! Come on down and who knows, maybe it will be the next recipe you take home!

Brown Ale (4.8% abv.)

KICKED 😢

A malt forward brown ale that is kissed with roasty notes. This slightly bitter brown is sweet and complex. It uses honey malted oats to bloom the complex finish and is hopped with phoenix and crystal hops. Whitelabs WLP007 (Dry English) makes you want to come back for more.

Hoose Pale Ale
(5.8% abv.)

Our house pale ale is a pleasant showcase of malt and hops. This beer has a simple grist bill with German malt running the show. Hops are Centennial upfront with Cascade hops added every 10mins until flame out. The Cascade hops were provided by our friends at Huntinghouse Hopyard right here in RI. The yeast is WLP041 Pacific ale. Come on down and get inspired.
